THE MYSTERIOUS AND MIRACULOUS GREEN TEA – It’s a MUST.
Why aren’t you drinking Green Tea? Really. If you don’t like the taste, then dilute it or mix it with a mineral water, or fruit juice, or lemon. I love organic green chai tea. I have completely replaced my coffee addiction with green chai.
Why should you care? Why should you try to fit this into your day? It is perhaps the most well researched antioxidant drink of our times from burning fat, preventing and reducing tumors/cancer, preventing heart attacks, increasing bone density, increases good gut bacteria, and even reduces the rate of bladder infections, and decreases sun sensitivity in the skin. Other countries know it. We know it now too.
It is especially important for women. Why?
Fat Burning. Did you know that doctors and researchers report green tea actually increases your metabolic rate as much as 4 percent for 24 hours after drinking it? It has been researched to help your burn fat, and now evidence shows it can actually help absorb fat from meals. Say what? Yes. Absorbs fat. So, if you are going to have a high fat meal of the “bad kind” drink some green tea with it. Due to the fat burning or “blocking” ability green tea has been shown to decrease strokes risk and heart attacks by decreasing cholesterol and even blood pressure.
Green tea gives you a natural buzz a real feel good type of energy, not an amped up kind that you get from other stimulants. It’s good to drink it in the morning or even before workouts. Contrarily, L-Theanine in green tea is responsible for anti-anxiety effects according to researchers. This tea is a mystery.
Cancer. There are multitudes of studies now on the miraculous benefits
“Green tea is known to “reduce the risk of so many cancers, is because it contains an exceptional blend of powerful anti-inflammatories and antioxidants. It also holds within it, the remarkable ability to amplify the power of enzymes in our liver that detoxify toxins and carcinogens. Researchers believe most of the health benefits of tea come from substances in it called “polyphenols.” There are 3 polyphenols that are considered most important: gallocatechin (GC), epigallocatechin (EGC), and epigallocatechin gallate (ECGC). Of the three, ECGC is the most potent. Doctors recommend about 250-500 mg of ECGC per day.
Scientists have mapped out 7 different ways that green tea combats breast cancer. This stellar brew increases the number of protein binders in the blood so that less estrogen is available to attach to receptors in the breast. What about Caffeine? Well the recommended brewing time is 3-5 minutes. The longer the brew the more caffeine. However, Dr. Horner explains that for some reason there are other chemicals in the green tea that inhibit the effects of the caffeine in green tea on tumors/cysts/breast cancer. The effects are unlike coffee or other caffeinated beverages.
For example, as soon as I replaced coffee with green tea (and some other natural therapies) my cyst ( the size of a ping pong ball which had been there for six months) disappeared completely from my breast. I couldn’t believe it.
How much? What Kind? Well that’s the thing. Doctors and researchers say we should be drinking at least 3-4 cups for fat burning, and up to 8 -10 cups for anti-cancer benefits according to researchers. They also share that we can also take a pill form of ECGC.
I don’t know about that, in my opinion only, I think it’s a good idea to stick with the tea form that you brew yourself. Why? Think about the Japanese – they are really into their tea, not taking pills to replace the tea. Sometimes we don’t know all there is about the compounds in nature, and sometimes it just might be better to stick with the version God gave us with all the phytonutrients and antioxidants intact.
What kind do I get? I’m not sure it matters. It’s all good for you. Please buy organic green tea. You simply can’t trust tea anymore. Researchers have found traces of DDT and other toxic pesitcides in all kinds of tea. Even high quality expensive brands like YOGI tea - please go organic.
